Apoclypto

I know this has been out on dvd for some time, I put off watching it because I dislike Mel Gibson.

I watched it Friday night and I am still thinking about it, what a great flick. Very violent but I bet pretty realistic to the times. Haunting images.

The sound of the heads rolling down the temple steps was very realistic.

Mel Gibson as a person I can see disliking but, Man, he's got some great flicks.

Braveheart
The Mad Max trilogy (especially Road Warrior)
The Lethal Weapon movies
The Passion of the Christ
We Were Soldiers
Chicken Run :hihi:

I can understand though....takes a lot to get me to watch anything that concerns Tom Cruise

Do I want to know how you know what a head going down steps sounds like:err:

mel gibson blows... good movie though!

There was some historical innaccuracy though. By the time the spanish arrived Mayan cities of that scale had not existed for several centuries.

DF - Samething with Tom Cruise, hate the guy.

ES44 - is that true? I always thought the Mayans were at their height when teh Spainards came? I have no clue though, just what I assumed. I like the movies that paint a realistic portrayal of the time, it helps visualize what it was really like.
