I went to waterfire in providence last night
 

The river was absolutely TEEMING with pogies...

It was unreal to see them swimming and splashing all around the fires...

I was so hoping for a blitz... That would of been awesome to really bug out the crowds.

yeah i was having lunch at Cafe Neouvo and saw them up in the river. They were thick.

I went to Waterfire last week and saw dozens of them sleeping on the surface. Pogies sleep on their side I found out.

about 9 years ago, I restored all of waterfire's cool little Thai water taxi boats.. they look like small skiffs with wierd bows that point up like a genie slipper.. :D

I live downtown Providence... just took my dog for a walk RIVER was going crazy... Schools hundreds thick jumping everywhere... this is the 3rd year in a row this has happened... However, Last year they didn't show until LATE september Seems a bit early this year.
