first time with braid
 
im primarly fish the ditch with plugs and 20lb big game and i just bought a new light weight reel, what braid and how much of it should i put on this reel its a daiwa black gold with a maxium compacity of 140 yrds of 25lb test line.

You can get away with a higher lb. test braid because of their thinner diameter. For example, 30lb. test Powerpro is equal to 8 lb. test mono for thickness.
Depending of the overall weight of your lures/plugs, you can probably go up to 50lb. test.
I use 30lb. test to throw 9" Slugos on 1oz. jigs.
