Fall run? How much longer?

I live in Revere MA, How much longer does the run last here? Is it over? It seems to have quieted down alot.
Thanks,
Paul O

Hasn't even started yet....

"Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

Keep at it man. There is still plenty of time left and trophy fish to catch.

Lua, he's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right.

Seriously - its just gearing up. Fish are feeding and moving in places. Personally, I don't think they wait in line along the coast to move. Salem doesn't kick in after Gloucester, Gloucester doesn't kick in the day after the Merrimack. They just feed and move

Lua: see any blitzes off Revere Beach yet?
I haven't heard of any blitzing in Boston harbor yet...just a few up north...

Adam_777 09-25-2008 04:59 PM

The blitzes I've been seeing aren't traditional blitzing. The fish are staying deeper and feeding well below the surface. So the birdwatchers can stay in the warm trucks with binoculars and may not see the fall run sneak by them silently a few feet under.Go out and fish.

The Dad Fisherman 09-25-2008 09:26 PM

From what I've seen (which is limited) Blitzes don't necessarily mean Fall Run....just means the Peanuts are around, on the north shore at least

LuaP73 09-25-2008 11:57 PM

Ahh yes forgot about that movie........ As far as blitzes, I havent seen a single one yet this year. I thought that was strange but it has to be getting ready real soon, my timing is just a bit off I guess. I will be out there and report anything I see or catch.

TheSurfcaster 09-26-2008 04:58 AM

Not yet

This year I saw only 1-1/2 wks of a good spring migration then it fizzled off so I'm hoping the fall run will be spectacular.
