wet Weekend Plans??

What's up for the weekend?

Gonna be a little snotty AND its a Bye week :devil2:

But I do remember fishing through the last remnants of a hurricane (right Redlite? Ocean Mist? :rotf2: ) so the fishing CAN be good. WE ALL MUST be SAFE.

So what's up for the weekend?

Rappin Mikey 09-26-2008 06:52 AM

2 sons at a south shore ri spot thurs from 830pm till 2am today all 40'' bass every cast on eels.gotta love that northeaster.i may add that it was pretty sick out there and they had waves crashing over them all nite and were only crazies at that spot.

Swimmer 09-26-2008 07:07 AM

I have to clean and catch up on my DVR.. but was toying with going out if it isnt truly apocalyptic.

Clogston29 09-26-2008 07:12 AM

tried to get out for a while before it got too big last night, but I didn't make it in time and ended up with nothing but a 2 hour car ride and 1/2 hour walk for my efforts.

rest of the weekend is tied up with luds' wedding. at least with this weather, i won't be contemplating sneaking out of the hotel room when the wife falls asleep (well, i may still contemplate sneaking out, but it won't be to fish :buds:)

Finaddict 09-26-2008 08:20 AM

Have the daughter this weekend, was planning on visiting some friends down on the Cape who live on one of the south shore rivers there, a good fishing spot, but may hold off as it won't be fun for her.

jmonte45 09-26-2008 08:39 AM

fish, fish, fish.....

I am sure I will be fishing in the storm, hopefully they are still in the spot they have been at for the past 2 weeks.

RickBomba 09-26-2008 09:17 AM

Hanging out with Jess tonight and tomorrow, then fishing with sfoley78 on Sunday AM...crappy tide and wind, not sure what luck, we will have, if any.
This will be my last shot to fish until Mid October...I'll be in Italy then Utah.
Good Luck Everybody, Stay Safe.
Rick

I start vacation tonight. Expect apocalypse this week.

piemma 09-26-2008 10:14 AM

I'm fishing all weekend in a river where the tides matter the most:wave:

Mike P 09-26-2008 10:21 AM

I'm just concerned that the easterly blow will send too much crap into the Canal and make it impossible to jig. :(

I can always find a place with the wind behind me or over my shoulder, and rain never bothered me either.

But if I can't get more than 3 bounces out of a jig without it getting loaded up with gunk...... :wall:

bassballer 09-26-2008 12:10 PM

Ill be in NH with the GF all weekend. Ill be back monday to hit fish the aftermath of this storm, which im estimating will produce some good fishing. Anyone fishing this weekend, be careful fellas.

BMEUPSCOTTY 09-26-2008 07:02 PM

Looking at tide charts, weather reports and google earth. Changing hooks, doing laundry, worrying about running out of gas money, worrying about ferry delays. In other words, preparing for MV. Whatever the effect of the weather, from the weak reports from there things can't really go THAT far downhill. It's ok if I put everything off until the last minute though, cuz then I can pull an all nighter getting packed and claim I did it on purpose to get myself used to sleeping in the daytime again.http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...bie_smiley.gif Astronaut training indeed.....
