They still around !!!!

I was happy with this 9 lbs beauty
There were a lot of blues also.
It was the latest into the fall that I have ever been on a boat.
But still great fishing!!!!!!

Nice Fish! :)

Where was this at ?

Fish_Eye 11-22-2002 10:37 AM

You bet they are! I just heard of bass to 42 inches on the fly...and lots of fish over 30+ inches...best day of fishing for big fish this season. Where? Let's just say south shore of RI.

Let the birds show you the way!

Mike

Bloo --------Fish there today====first keepers I,ve seen in a few weeks

;) ;) ;)

JohnR 11-23-2002 09:48 PM

Bloo - Scotch - Clammer - they were there today... Clammer I got in trouble after your call but I went anyway and got down there about 2pm. Lost a 22#er or so near my feet, kept an 18 for T-Day, had a couple other bigger fish hits and thru back a few schoolies and a barely legal... All on the 6" Storm on the bottom, everyone else was using the small ones on top. One kid fishing there lost a 22#+ fish at his feet too.

Only fished for 2 hours. Sun was going down and the wind was HONKIN'. The rest of the people caught and released more Gannets than I caught fish :eek5:

Ran into to Iron Mike and a friend of his as they were leaving :) ...

Fish_n_Dive 11-23-2002 11:49 PM

Nice Fish :)

Fish were out of reach today. Got to hear all the painful details from yesterday. I hate missing action like that. Good to hear you were in it John.

The bass are still around, over the weekend my uncle and I took a 37", 34", 32", 31" and a couple 28" fish, we also lost approx a 38-40"er in the white wash. Nothing real big but fun fishing from shore. Fish were hitting between 8:00-9:30am

Headed down to Narragansett today hoping to just get the rod bent with some schoolies or something and I ended up getting a nice 14lber at Narragansett Town beach and the biggest of my short 3 year surf fishing career an 18lber at Scarborogh beach:) needless to say I was pretty happy  Got both on the small storm wildeye shads. Just follow the birds:D

StarsnStripers 11-25-2002 08:01 PM

which wildeye shadz?? the 4" or 5"? and what color did you catch em' on??

Skip N 11-26-2002 01:47 AM

SNS,

It was one of the of the 4" ones. I think they call it the "shiner" color. Its got a greyish/black look to it. First time I ever used that color and its safe to say I will use it again real soon:D
