round lead split shot

We cannot get lead split shot here in NY. Does anyone have some in Rhode Island that can ship me some? The tin crap they have here is junk and always opens up while fishing.

I faced the same thing while fishing the salmon river. What size? The bait shop mentioned that the slinky weights are full of really nice shot but said they were just letting me know not "suggesting anything." Sure enough they are nice round soft lead shot with a split in them. No barbs on the back for pinching open though.

aren't they illegal now? for environmental reasons.. i think one reason being birds eating them.

Thats what it is for the Salmon river. I will check out the slinky weights when I am up there next week. I fly fish so just need 1 small lead, the tin ends up opening up and falliung off or knicking my fly line.
