I have received this from one of our S-B / RISAA Members

Do we have anyone, specifically Barrington Residents that can go to this meeting? I hope to go but the Barrington town council won't care much for my opinion as I live directly across the bay. Who can go, especially from Barrington? Thank you for your support :btu: |
Thanks for posting this john, as you said we need people at this meeting...especially town residents.
Make no mistake the future of public access is at stake. Daunis is the first and only ROW that has parking on the ROW itself. Either way, this will set precedent around the state. |
Nobody in Barrington?
I know 3 people from there that might go but Anglers do need a better showing. |
i'll be there along with ATG and pogey steve.
|
be there people.....we need bodies in the seats. You dont have to be a town or even an RI resident to go.
|
I'm going
It is access, plain and simple, show up, look presentable nod your head when someone makes the right statement |
I'll be there.
Please show up if you can |
Bump for tonight
|
any update from last night?

as john mentioned, it appears to be now in the hands of the town council and town residents. an ordinance will be announced and revealed at the nov town council meeting. then, a public hearing on the proposed ordinance will be announced for a future date. time restrictions could be part of that proposal, such as a 9pm-6am or 11pm-4am closure to parking. all that will be revealed in nov.
if you are a town resident and oppose and time parking restrictions, please attend the next barrington town council meeting. as has been mentioned before, this could start a precedence for other ROWs in the state. |
This doesn't affect the beach, does it?
