Pogies, Blues, and Wind

Had the whole day to myself yesterday so I headed out in the skiff to try my luck in Dux bay. Snagged pogies and fought big blues all morning yesterday. The action heated up around 11:00am. These blues were all over 10lbs and put on some good air shows and fought all the way to the skifff. I had doubles twice put never could land them both, by the time I took care of one the 2nd was off on it's own. Lot's fun and my right forearm this morning has severe tendenitis. I didn't get any bass but a buddy of mine stopped by my spot and he had 2 mid 30" bass caught on pogies in his tote along with a couple of blues.

The ones I was catching were not close to shore but they were in shallow 4-5ft of water. I didn't head over to the bridge area.

Deja Blue

I'm getting pretty good at snagging. Nothing but blues again this afternoon. The pogies weren't as thick but you could still find them.
