The Benny's in Westerly(RI) has Atom poppers for $2.75! They are the Swingin' Swiper which is the same as Striper Swiper only with a single rear hook. Perfect for Bluefishing and it won't hurt the wallet when you lose a few. The have 3 sizes (2oz 1oz 3/4oz) in assorted colors. I grabbed 5 poppers for $13.75, a good deal I'd say;)

The Benny's in bristol took their stuff off the shelf before halloween :mad: leaving me with no place to buy decent plugs at reasonable prices...there is another one closer to where i live in East Providence, but they have nowhere near Bristol's selection. Good thing for me I already had a couple extras of my favorite plugs, enough to get me through the rest of the season.

That's a great price! I happen to have about 5 dozen filling a five gallon pail from the old days when you could buy seconds at the factory but in all honesty , I think I paid about $2.50 each so that Benny's sale price is excellent.

WOW!! I better go this weekend. Haven't done much fishing lately but im getting geared up for next year.

Do those versions have a belly swivel in case you want to use them on bass and hang a second hook?

Even if not, $2.50 for a bluefish plug ain't bad.

They made it so you can't attach a treble at the belly, but like you said price is right. They had some pretty good colors too- blue,yellow,gold,blue-white,red-white and more. They had 2 big bins of them. They may be factory seconds, they were marked "special", but I see nothing wrong with them. I'm going back for more saturday. Westerly Benny's keeps there fishing stuff out all year too.
