OTW surgery
I Had to do a little do it yourself surgery on my finger tonight .
Got a 4/0 vmc treble as far as it would go into the fat part of my pinky. at least a good 3/8" First order of buisness was to disconect the 25# bass from the 80# mono tether to the finger. double treble tandem rig. fish on one hook Mikey boy on the other asking him nicely to "please don't flip the funk out right now".... My bud snatched up the rigging scissors and went to town on the mono. step 1 complete.. Then while my buddy held firm on the hook with plyers and braced it against my leg, I pulled opposite and trimmed till it came out. wasn't easy. it was really friggin stuck in there. All I was thinking was get the camera this is a good one.. Thank god for very sharp tools and a 1.5 year old tetanus shot. saved the night and kept on fishing. I'm delaying sleep because I know that once I lay down the pain will set it.... |
Bummer,,,, That happened to me a couple years ago with a friggin Bluefish,,,
Most importantly you Kept fishing,,,:musc: |
Freak this post is useless without pictures!!!
------ On a side note, Bob Thomas and I removed a treble hook from a guys finger last week at the canal. He was all GQ with his Van Staal, fashion glasses and wading jacket. The poor bastard almost fainted. I wish I had a camera with me then! |
