Habs classic weigh ins???
Anything large weighed in today?
|
:uhuh:
But there's still time and fish around :) |
Can some one clue us in as to what third place is at least?????
I'd actually rather not kill a fish for the weigh in (if I can actually find something without teeth) if it isn't gonna matter. Thanks |
Had to remove info do to bad info.
|
Fishing sucked last night. Had the honor of running into Mikey Redlite and fishing the same waters with him and his buddy.
Figured I'd have a couple of 40s fishing with a guy who is having an epic year. The problem was "you can't catch what's not there". Well said Mike! |
Sounds like it was tough all over. Good numbers of albies running around in the daylight though.
|
fishing was slow for me. heard a 37# was weighed friday night.
|
Can'nt belive i released a 24# bass an hour into the tourn.!!! Thought it was going to be a huge night after only fishing 30 min. and a 24 on the line! Realllllllly thought it was going to be big for me....I still had the secret big girl crack....a rudy riggy! Lost the damn riggy to an 18# blue around 0100. biggest fish lastnight was 14# Blitzes of schoolies allround! tried to weed through em bass half the size of my afterhours neeedle! Oh well at least its deer season now!!!

The silence is KILLING me!!! I need to know how bad i got spanked! Dreams of a Released 24# fish wining second are haunting ME! Hardest i fished all year for....?:fury:
|
Chef, roughly 37# 1st, 27# 2nd, 18# 3rd
Trophies were very cool, large Habs needles replicas mounted over pieces of shale as a base, in gold, silver and bronze |
Not what i wanted to hear!!! 24 would have made me a hero at home!!! Damn it!!!

And The Winners Were.....
First Place winner in the First Annual Habs Classic was Scott Halverson with a 36# bass that was only 44" long.
The fish was weighed at Edward's Fishing Tackle and Kevin said it was a beauty that really deserved a wall mount. I saw pictures of it that Scott's son Josh had with him and it was a was a real chubster for the length - God knows, I love to see them with proportions like that :humpty: I also asked Scott if he had autopsied it to determine the stomach contents and he said the old girl didn't have a thing in her. Job well done, Scott  I know how tough the fishing was all over that night he got it - and don't ask me how  Second Place went to Dave Anderson (our own Canalman) with a 25# if I remember correctly and Third Place was in at 18#. Kevin Kendricks himself ended up getting bumped out of 3rd by less than half a pound. There were no fish weighed in at either Quonny B&T or Quaker Lane as far as I know and I don't think any were weighed in at the SWE. All in all, an outstanding job, men, under a nearly full moon and gin clear water with virtually no swell whatsoever. The competition was pretty stiff given the line-up of guys who fished the tourney - there wasn't a lightweight in the bunch, believe me. So here's to you and here's to Habs :buds::cheers::cheers2::cheers::buds: See you all next year :btu::btu::btu: |
