Boycott this movie
This should not have been allowed to happen. THOUSANDS of people wasted fuel and time sitting in traffic.
http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news...28/detail.html Yesterday it took me 1 hour and 40 minutes to go from Milford to Waltham :whackin: I hate this traffic BS :hang: |
They had 93 south in Boston shutdown at 3:00 am last Saturday. I am heading down to the Ditch and go re-routed through downtown Boston......needless to say I was a little frustrated
|
I can't believe Mel Gibson can even get a role in a major film these days.
|
why blame the film?

Nonetheless there was a large group out this morning, during crush time. |
Because any moron with 1/2 a brain would stop and realize they were creating a traffic jam or would create one and stop. But they chose to do it AGAIN too all the time FULL well knowing. They cost people thousands of dollars in wasted fuel not to mention the inconvenience of being late for work.
Bruce the turnpike auth. should be abolished as was the original plan years ago. Instead now they put hundreds of thousands of dollars into STUPID stuff like planting bulbs in medians, wildflowers, and lets not forget the MILLIONS of $$$ they donate to ridiculous causes. All in the effort to keep themselves viewed as necessary. Hey let's replace trucks every two years with 50k miles on them. Lets buy $600,000 vactor trucks to suck out the catch basins once a year when it could be done by a private contractor as most towns already do. Let's run the plows in the winter scraping wet pavement for absolutely nothing. Let's allow a film company to film at the height of rush hour. Hey why not? The film directors knew where the shoot was and no-one said anything? Then they go do it again :af: I do boycott them enough right now trust me. Ripoff. How much money you think they save by adding fastlane which was paid for by the transponder sales at $36 each. How many toll collectors you heard about being laid off when 3 booths were closed at all the major toll sites. :lossinit: Quote:

I agree
the turnpike authority should have been gone long ago along with all those cushy jobs once it was paid for I'm glad I didn't have to go to Weston last week off to the cookout now, hope there is no traffic |
Wish I could go Bruce hope you guys have fun. I'm home kid sitting now so my wife can gallivant with my inlaws :wall:

Yea let's delay abolishing this whole MESS.
Mass. Pike Meeting Delayed Amid Struggles Postponement May Hurt Bond Rating BOSTON -- The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority has postponed its monthly meeting as it struggles with debt. Pike officials said the postponement of the Tuesday's meeting until Nov. 14 gives state officials more time to complete legislation that would abolish the agency. Information about such a move could then be presented to the board. But board member Mary Connaughton said the delay could hurt the agency's bond rating because it would postpone talks over ways to help the agency, such as increasing tolls. Connaughton told The Boston Globe that could lead to even bigger toll increases. Pike officials have signaled toll hikes are inevitable as the agency deals with $2.5 billion in debt, most of it related to the Big Dig. A spokesman for Turnpike Authority chair Bernard Cohen said the postponement won't hurt the agency's credit ratings. |
