Whoa...that should reverberate. Unemployment is expected to climb to 8.5% by the end of next year.

RI should abolish local governments and consolidate to a county system. We could get rid of most of the police, fire, school administrations, public works, municipal employees, etc, etc.

Joe, best plan yet, but the special interests would never allow it. I think we are close to the point where more people are getting a free ride in the wagon than are pulling it.

If we could make RI more tax favorable to business, we could easily attract more jobs.

8.8% today ....we'll be a lot higher than that by the time the rest of the country hits 8.5
