S-B Cod Trip cancelled for tomorrow

Cod Trip - Trying to get the word out and I hope everyone get's this as not everyone has access to a computer right now.

Tomorrow's S-B CodTrip on the Captain John boats will need to be cancelled. A gale is forecast in Cape Cod Bay (all of New England coastal actually) with strong winds and building seas as well as being unseasonably cold. Based on this, and the fact that I have been unable to reach anyone from the boat has made me decide to call off tomorrow's trip. It's highly likely even if we were to show, the boat might not leave port. These were comparable to last years conditions when we started to go out on the Andy Lynne before turning around and the Captain John's boats never even warmed up their motors...
:yak:

Will we still get one in? Not sure just yet as most boats have called it a year.

Thanks to everyone wanting to participate but unfortunately, we'll need to pass on this for now.

Thanks,

John

PS - I'm gonna send e-mails out to everyone but if you know someone that was planning to go and doesn't have e-mail access on the weekends, give them a holler if you have their number.

John, I was just checking out the Yankee Fleet and they run through mid March Thursday-Sunday 7-4. Maybe we could reschedule the trip on this boat instead? I have fished with them 3 times and have had good luck on every trip. Does anyone have any interest in this?

Out of Gloucester? Yep - and there's Frances Fleet out of Point Jude too

John, Point Judith is a definite possiblility. I am going out with DRUMCORPFAN next Sat for Tautog. Either boat is fine by me. Let's see what kind of interest we get for another trip.

Well, with the wind we had today near my house, a couple trees went down including one that took out power for a couple hours...

Didn't get to see the Bills whack the Fins

Hey bloo,

The tautog trip on the Frances Fleet is first come first serve, no reservations required. I have been checking the reports and the fishing remains excellent with many people limiting out. DRUMCORPFAN and I are going Dec 7 so if anyone is interested, check out www.francesfleet.com for directions and further information. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Kip:)
