shore/pier cod
 

Has anyone been able to pick up any cod from shore/pier this fall yet? i am going to try for some tommorow and was wondering if anyone new if they are in yet. i live in boston and am going to try a pier in quincy that is VERY good for cod in the spring. it points straight out toward peddocks island, nut island pier. i have also caught cod off of peddocks but that was in spring too and on the other side which is hull gut.

I've heard of cod off Pemberton Pier in years past - that's at Hull Gut. I've also "heard" of cod caught from various beaches along the south shore but nothing yet and nothing concrete to tell you.

went to the pier today but way too windy, felt like 50 mph. got nothing but a crab and a hit while jigging a mackeral rig.
