Some People Never Learn

Like, me. You'd think after having 2 other hooks removed from my ear and finger in the past, I'd either watch what I was doing, or use hook guards.
This time, I couldn't get it out myself because it was too deep and I had to go to the ER at Brockton Hospital. After spending from 10:00pm until 4:00am there, I think I may have finally learned my lesson. Great doctor and nurses, but the waiting room reminded me of the hospital in the movie Planet Terror. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. |

At 2:00 I started getting annoyed and was pacing around in front of the ER intake area. Finally, I asked one of the triage nurses at 3:00 am if I could have a scalpel and needlenose pliers and I'd do it myself. When she realized I was serious, they took me in. |
Seems like Thee usual spot. Not alot of pain, but blood all over the place.
Feel betta FB. :) |
FB... Just in case you decide to do it yourself don't wait,,, It is tough as hell to push a hook through the rest of the way once the swelling starts,,,, It is amazing how tough your skin is,,,, It is even harder to cut a VMC hook with one hand and %$%$%$%$ty pliers,,,
