Maybe it's me... (probably)
But... I don't get it...
First, let me say that I don't hunt. I don't have anything against folks that do, I just don't. To each his/her own, ya' know.?.? In any event, I caught ESPN Outdoors yesterday and they were hunting turkeys on Hawaii. This guys shoots a beautiful bird! Then... he starts talking about conservation and such and asks his guide to the all important task of tagging the bird. See.. that is where I get lost... :smash: Why bother talking conservation and tagging unless you are going to "catch and release." Please explain... |
um...are you sure they werent talking "tagging" in the Weighing or checking in sense???? otherwise I dont know what to say.....maybe they feel tagging as a good way of tracking them or keeping track of info on the birds when they are caught???

As you know, to define fishing is "attempt to catch" and hunting is "attempt to kill". It is important for hunters to tag our kill so that biologists know how many birds or other animals are being killed so they can set the correct bag limits for us.

Ahhh... I get it.
It just seemed odd. Here, I'm thinkin'... "Well, isn't it a little late to tag it now?" ;) Guess he was talking about "Weighing or checking in sense" Jenn. Oh well... Go get em'... :nailem: |
I tryed to shoot and release but did not work to well.:rocketem: :err:

Yea its kinda hard to get a dead deer to run away!
:smash: :laughs: :laughs: |
