Raider Ronnie 11-26-2008 09:26 PM

My family will be going to my sister in laws like every year.
Dinner @ 3:00 then I'll be sleeping on a couch or chair by 4:30-5:00 !

Mike P 11-26-2008 09:26 PM

Dinner here. Christine's kids are coming in tonight--she drove to New haven to pick them up.

I could catch Bourne/Wareham or Sandwich/Feehan tomorrow, but I have no rooting interest. I don't even know who my alma mater plays on Thanksgiving any more--they ended their traditional one because it wasn't competitive any more :(

Rocco34520 11-26-2008 09:38 PM

My uncles for some good food and drink. Then prob. kicking back and watching some footbally. Have a good thanksgiving everyone!

Another Thanksgiving to remember

A small get together with my wifes family. 60+ and counting. And everyone can COOK UP A FEAST TO DIE FOR. My contribution is my brined garbage can turkey. One of three turkeys and a ham. Wife is making candied sweat potatoes, punch.
Mother in law has to bring the oyster stuffing or answer for it. Everyone has a specialty to bring.

Stool doesn't help when it's all a throbbing. Was feeling good yesterday so I tried to skip my meds last night and am now paying for it!

This will be the first Thanksgiving I haven't cooked since I was a kid.

Growing old is a terrible thing. Never skip your meds, you'll end up paying for it. Enjoy the day regardless, be thankful you can still complain

freebie 11-27-2008 09:49 AM

staying home, then off the the bonfire after dark if I can stay awake long enough

Yea and I'm only 38 :cens:

This is one of those dumb injuries anyway. I smashed a toe and instead of resting it decided to go on a three day business trip to Charleston, SC.

That was a mistake.

All things considered, it isn't all that bad. I will heal.

With hindsight I should have planted my ass on the couch and stayed home. It wasn't even the bad toe, it was walking on my heel for a week that strained the other side of my foot. The secondary injury is now the bigger problem!

Imagine, drop a kids skateboard helmet on your foot and a week and a 1/2 later have 5 , count 'em FIVE prescriptions and crutches :laugha:
