What colors do you guys use of these? Thanks for the help.

brighter colors when the water is stained, black at night and natural colors in the day..

they are awesome teasers

They are killer. When the fish are diurnal and sight feeding: natural and parrot are the best patterns. When the fish are in residence and nocturnal; black and trans red. In the early spring, when its small fish before residency; white, parrot and green silver.
Those are my preferences and they pretty much reflect the way the stuff sells also. Overall, for some reason, parrot is the most popular pattern.

What do you mean by nocturnal.

stcroixman 12-03-2008 06:44 PM

nocturnal = active at night, i.e searching for food

Joe 12-03-2008 07:21 PM

More so a surfcasting thing when the fish are in residency - between migrations. Boat people fishing off shore, or in deeper water can and do fish effectively in the day.
Not everyone subscribes to the notion that the fish are primarily nocturnal. I do, but if you don't, that's fine.
