Finally a nice Brown on a Tattoo
1 Attachment(s)
This fish is from a couple weeks ago. I have really been doing a number on some big browns this fall and was on a mission to get a big brown on a small swimmer. It was pretty cool watching this fish blow up on it like a bass.
Thanks Mike |

Nice photo shop Raven...Thanks guys. I probably managed about 30-40 browns over 3-1/2lbs and up to 6-1/2lbs between Oct and Nov this year all on Cape Ponds.....All on top water. It's hard to get one with the big baits and you loose alot, so it was nice to have gotten that one on the swimmer. Some nights were just amazing with the smallies as well. I have been catching trout on top water for over 10 years now, but never really talked about it till now. The older I get the more info I want to make sure I leave behind....not like im 90 or anything, but still.

Nice fish Roy. I thought I was the only one using swimmers for trout. Is that chartreuse? I've had a lot of luck over the years with chart. rapalas.
I wasn't sure if it was a commonly used method, but it works for me.:) |

Here's some pics of a smaller Brown I got on a tattoo as well. Even tho I have had a few on I think the females with the smaller heads and mouths get off easyer then these males with there large kypes....It's fun

A few more...That female was load with eggs which I kept to use for fishing the rivers for landlocks and Up-state Ny if I make it up there this year. Worked out well since I took a new Pb landlock which weighed in at 7lb 6oz from the still river
|
Still River? Are you up in my neck of the woods at Wachusett? You can catch nice fish all year round in the Quinny & Still.

Nice job Roy.. I have a old friend who is gone now used to take big browns at night in the mouth of the Pulaski river. He caught em on his own wood plugs. He was the first I have seen to use epoxy as a top coat. Before Lefty did so..I never got a chance to do it with him..He took that info to his grave.. |
BTW nice photo's..
Would it kill ya to smile in one.. In one pic your all beat up..What happened to your head?? |
