Van Staal spinner- VS150 with bail
 

Has anyone tried this reel? PROS and CONS!

Also , if you use this reel, do you prefer braid or mono ? pound test?.

Love the reel Steve. 30 lb. Stren braid. the extra weight balances my 108M much better than the bailess. Nice feel of the larger handle. No problem handling large. The anti reverse bearing is located on the mainshaft. I feel a stronger location than the handle locale of the bailess. either models ever gave me a problem. The bail is ZERO problems. If the only con would be if you happened to fall on the bail! You would like it.

If you were to get a bailed VS and changed your mind is there any way to convert it to bailless? I would think they wouldnt make it east to change.
