IMPORTANT

Tis the season,
We are having another great raffle Thank//s to Cape
We have a great site Thanks to Johnr ;s hard work
this guy spends a lot of time between travel & work and then has time squeezed in for his family, some how he manages to keep this site up///
run fishing contest , .answer beginners questions, etc
YOu know what ++ we all it to John to help this site
we have 867 members , granted some may have never posted & some are gone, but for the rest of us , the fun we ,ve had // the money some have made, the new friendships that have been formed on this board, the first striper some have caught -thanks to help on this site, the get togethers, the real togetherness of some of the regulars on this board is great
Johnr shouldn,t have to have raffles to help this site, WEEEE just be the ones thankful for his time & effort, I feel that anyone who enjoys this site ,in any way += should but their money up - heck everyone isn,t loaded ,but a few bucks from us would really help ////
you have the address and the information needed on the raffle post to mail a check//
I,m glad I found this site & the members on it and I,ll start it off with a check tonight for Striped-Bass. com

Thanks, Clamdigger
PS -- don,t ever forget [ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE}

Thanks Mike :o :D , I would gladly take a nice cushy job near the Narr Bay water instead :p

It is a lot of work but it also is worth it - not financially - but by the friendships I've made and the people I've met because of the site. And I also like seeing some of the other friendships that some have developed with people they never would have met had it not been for this site. That's what makes it very cool. The camaraderie, good times had by many, friendships, and some awesome fishing opportunities! Thanks again everyone.

thank you john!!

i met some great people through this site.some i have fished with and others i haven't yet. can't wait till next year for the get togethers at M & D's.thanks to all who helped make this year one of my best. and to those who help make this my #1 fishing site, thank you!!!!

JohnR,

You have done a tremendous job with this site!...

:btu:

I run a disc jockey service on the side when I'm not fishing & would like to offer my services for an evening get together sometime over the winter months at the Tiverton Rod & Gun Club.

All we have to do is to have a number of people sign up, agree to bring a dish with them & perhaps a $10.00 entrance fee to go toward maintaining this site...

Sponsors can bring some of their creations & hardware with them as well... perhaps some people would be willing to donate door prizes?...

If anyone likes this idea, and it's okay with you John...

Let me know.

Thanks for all that you do in making this site the success that it is!

:D

That sounds pretty interesting Don - anyone else like to comment?

GBOUTDOORS 12-16-2002 04:16 PM

Don this sounds great and I would be more than happy to help set it up and keep it on track if you wish. I for one would be glad to pay the ten $ and bring something to eat.

If we can all get together to bring the raw materials (ie, uncooked food), I'd be glad to organize the cooking part on site; as long as its a Sunday or Monday. I could always switch off for a Saturday. as long as there was enough notice...
Later,
Rick:happy:

Slipknot 12-16-2002 07:33 PM

Don, i like your idea also. It sounds like a plan that could come together :th: So, when is it? :D

Bliz 12-17-2002 07:04 AM

We all need to find a date that works for everyone.

I also need to check the schedule at the Club so that I can book the date.

Would a Saturday evening be okay? or would others prefer a Friday night?...

Bliz 12-17-2002 07:10 AM

GBOUTDOORS,

Yes, and thanks! ...that would be great!...

:D

Once we pin down a date, we can begin to plan out the event...

What timeframe sounds good?...

Once we decide, I'll try to book the hall...

Any Ideas?...

MountainBreeze 12-17-2002 07:26 AM

Sounds like a good time to me. :)
My vote is for a Sat night!

John R,

If you can pick a night that I'm in town, I'll donate a video presentation that could help draw a little outside as well as board community support.

Call me and we look at the calendar.

Mike
