Pretty plug and an impressive effort without a lathe. Got a suggestion for you (and others who like screw eyes). On swimmers, being able to bend the line tie up or down is often crucial to get them swimming where you want. You can make a "screw eye" out of brass or stainless wire by bending a loop then holding the loop with pliers and twisting the wire (the SOL site recently had a "how to" using a drill to do this quicker). Drill a small hole, epoxy it, and twist it in. Holds well and you can bend your line tie up or down. Regular screw eyes are fine for the hooks.

Yes. You can tweak the action on any swimmer by bending the line tie away from where you want it to go. Bend up to go deep, down to stay shallow, or left/right to correct tracking. Sometimes I bend them as much as 1/4". Something you should learn to do if you want to get the most out of swimming plugs.
