Playing With Something Different
My take on a tally wacker
the head is 2" with the tale 5" on the first one the second is 7" with the tail. http://www.myfishpix.com/gallery/data/500/P1030062.JPG http://www.myfishpix.com/gallery/data/500/P1030062a.JPG http://www.myfishpix.com/gallery/data/500/P1040064.JPG http://www.myfishpix.com/gallery/data/500/P1040065.JPG Note, yes I am giving a plug (no pun intended) to the Zac Brown Band check them out toes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dR9V...eature=related Chicken Fried http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR92A...eature=related |
Beautiful workmanship. Looks like hook tangling might be an issue. The head is so small, I wonder if the plug even needs a belly hook (maybe a small weight instead). Or no tail hook at all, just a belly treble. A single hook plug of that length has a lot of appeal. Just thinking out loud. Thanks for showing it.

Keep thinking out loud, I always listen.... I do have a few more tails made up with and without the hook. I just need the ice to go away so I can do some more testing. Everything is now frozen solid around me :eek5: |
Seems to me that the paddle tail on the top one would dampen the action of the lip on the front section,, Hows it swim...???

Not at all, I just went to a place that was not completely frozen and did some more testing. It swims great with the paddle tail so good I am going to fish it with that one. Also after 10 cast the tail did not tangle with the treble at all. I tried a split tail and it also swam well. The black tail on the other was a little heavy. I changed it out to a black zoom and it swam nice. Nice wiggle the weakfish should love the pink one. |
