Fortunately for politicians, they're expected to lie. If you really want to cover your bases, check out factcheck.org. It has plenty of lies from most major politicians including.....gasp.....President-elect Obama. Politics couldn't exist in this day and age without lies and mis-representation of truths.

ole 'W" was a cocky Bastid back in those days wasn't he?

not so much now....

he looks like he's counting the minutes... left

after most speeches in the recent past he goes phhew!

and blows out a gasp of relief

I don't think this qualifies as a lie. Bush certianly can change his mind once he becomes President, and by all accounts on 9/11 Bush dramatically altered his worldview.

That being said, how dramatically Bush did change his worldview would lead someone (like myself) to question if he really did have one in the first place, or if he's just been saying what others tell him since day one.

Given all the evidence, I'd have to assume this is most likely the case.

While people may not agree with Obama's politics, at least we should agree that he has the brain to understand and form opinions based on observation and fact.

This alone is a huge improvement.

i couldn't agree more Spence...

he exudes confidence in that respect...

i'm not sore sure that his idea of a totally transparent government
is the best idea or even doable...

But, he's the first computer literate president thus far.

A sad and truthful commentary.

I love the idea of totally transparent govt. except for matters of National Security. We obviously can't compromise the people who work to keep us safe, or their ways and means of doing it. As far as everything else, It is OUR govt, is it not? Let's see if he can actually pull that off without being assassinated.
