The Whatever Annual S-B TFCTFN 2009 is scheduled for February 28, 2009. The Best Damn Raffle and the Best Damn Winter Party.

I'm looking for good ideas for keeping the same or changing things up this year.

I would LOVEEEEEEEE if someone (T-Timber? Clammer?) was up for MC duties (could be paid gig :eek5: )... :hee: :crying:

Ideas for Entertainment? Guest Speaker? S-B Speaker? More Chat? Ewoks? > Mike Laptew :kewl:

TFCTFN: "Too Frieckin' Cold To Fish Night"

S-B's annual bash get-together at the VFW hall in Fairhaven Mass, stumbling distance (across street) from Holiday Inn. Lots of people from the site (usually around 100) and some of the daring significant others, come to celebrate in a time honored manner to wish away winter for a good fishing harvest. Kind of like Groundhog day, with a bar.

We have some gag awards, real awards, big buffet dinner (managed by Bomba Catering) with food provided by the members, entertainment - this year provided by Mike Laptew :btu: - a MONSTAH raffle table.

It really is a great night, a chance to meet fellow S-Bers, help support the site, and stab a dagger into the heart of 'Ol Man Winter.

Hopefully this year some people will stick around for the real fun afterwards. Last year everyone raced out of the parking lot as soon as it was over. The hotel had the riot police on call and they didn't even get to beat anyone.

Where may this event be held? I'd like to attend.

Yes the Foxy is right in the middle of the two bridges we go over / just brfore we take that ride to the club & hotel :shocked:

Yours truly did some treadmill racing, and falling. There was some weightlifting involved as well (UUGGH).:musc:

Without question the raffle table is unequalled anywhere. Best guys in the world on food. Even better people attending.

Just finished up this GSB1081M for the raffle. Sorry, saltiga not included...

I'm going to see if i can make it down for this one.....haven't been to one yet. Just have to keep the consumption down :gu: for the ride home
