a buddy and i are going up the night before the superbowl, if anyone wants to tag along or meet up in maine.

we've got 6 guys going. anyone else want in? going to book shacks in a couple of days

going today to bowdin maine for a 2 day trip ...will post what happened on fri.

I'd love to come but I just can't until sometime in Feb.

If you guys want to load up on smelt go to riverbend camps up in bowdinham maine i went 3 times already 3 days ago we got 667 smelt between 3 of us got 667 Yje camps have a nice woodstove in them so you can cook the little Bastards on a frying pan good luck i.ll be uo there again tomorow

We are going to RiverBend tomorrow night.

I am hoping we do half as well as Pete.
First time for me.

We had a blast but the smelt came up short.
We caught maybe 45 between us.
I missed allot. It was a whole new experience for me and I loved it!
I walked up and down the camps and it seemed everyone was doing about the same as us.
Hopefully it was just a bad night and your trip will be better.
It's a very long drive for us.
By the time I got home I had been up for over 24 hours.
The driving is what kills me.
Is there any place closer than Riverbend?

any smelts rhtu the ice at weymouth landing or the old bakers chocolate factory??

i haven't tried weymouth in a couple of years but we used to do okay there, hit or miss. with some of the "warm" winters we've had recently - i've had some concerns over safe ice there
