making eye sockets
 

I am finishing up a run of atom forties. I made the eye sockets in the conventional manner with a forstner bit. But I was looking at my most recent plug addition a beautufull ryan smith danny and wanted to put an eye on the plug like his. Does any one out there know how to make oblong eye sockets like the smith plugs? thanks charlie

countersinks for screws come in many sizes.Look in a lumber yard or hardware store for what you need.

Ball rasp for your drill press.

I use one of these and it does a nice neat job....just a light sanding to take the edge off and you're good to go..
