Tuna Section?
Saw a great presentation on the tuna techniques and the outlook for this strong fishery. But I realized that I know jack, and have many hours to spend on the Bank learning...
Would there be room or interest on a striper site to have a tuna forum? |
I would definitely be game for that. I fish east of chatham and would defintely benefit from a tuna forum. Maybe post this on the main forum?
|
Can a moderator move this to main forum? Or does JohnR want to say sumthin' about it first?
|
sounds good to me. we need to put together a day somewhere to go over rigging.

First Light Angler did a kick ass presentation with some great videos for Maddie's Angler's Club meeting Thursday night. State of the fishery, bait, birds, and tackle were covered pretty thoroughly from their having been out every day last year. The program they participate in have over 200 tagged fish last year. There were also two headless/tailess 70# class tuna (almost thawed) that were used for demonstrations on cutting/cleaning techniques. How to handle a freshly caught fish was covered very well.
