Robin Trower
This guy needs his own thread as he never got the hype he deserved.
Had plenty of tympanic membrane damage from this tune. Can still hear my mother telling me to turn it down :smash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFyfK...eature=related |

Good tune. I really like this tune, which is kind of mellow but a real winner in my book. The vocalist, bassist, is top notch and deserves almost as much credit as Robin for the bands success. Unfortunately he died in 2002

My fav is "Victims of the Fury". I love that album.

Saw show last nite. Awesome. The guy is as good if not even better. Smooth and effortless style and his incredible control of feedback. He has his own style that he has never really strayed from. His multilayer chords and great solos were to die for. He is getting up there in age, 64, as we met him after the show, but man can he play. Matt's choice of seats were fantastic, front row balcony. Can't say how much I enjoyed his playing. Like going back in time, except without the drugs.:uhuh: Would have been great if Hendrix had lived but I'll bet Robin would have given him all he could handle and I am sure Jimi would have been one of his biggest fans.
Lawrence you would be his new #1 fan once you heard him live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llPMd...eature=related |
Remember this one last nite Matt? Only 32 years later and I think he did it better last nite

one more Matt from 36 years ago, and still doing it today, probably even better. That in itself is impressive

LOL. at this point I would throw a plug at him even hoping for a hit.
|
Girl here at work saw him this past weekend. I found out too late.
She said he was absolutely AWESOME !!!! Still has the hand. Last time I saw him was at the Orpheum, that was like 30 years ago. I can't remember much of that concert, but thats not because my memory is bad. Had something to do with "other things".....:rollem::rollem::spin: |
