Raven 01-25-2009 07:06 AM

i hear ya

LOUD and clear....

0 degrees here this morning - this defines NASTY :eek5:

Crafty Angler 01-25-2009 08:09 AM

Real low single digits here in Npt - just slightly above no degrees, I'd bet - :hs:

Stood in the yard for a while with the dogs around sun-up - when the snow starts creaking like that when ya step on it ya know it's cold -

Go take a look at all those photos from sunny Florida you've badgered us with all winter. Those should warm you up.

i am a convert...i love the arctic air..not looking forward to March and April..those months seem colder because of the increase in moisture content...(the cussed humidity factor....) and them damn spring winds we get here..just drive it to the bone... even tho it is single digits, and possibly below, with the slight wind chill factor today, it feels better to me than one of them 30 degree March days, with the wind blowing that damp air right thru ya....

so dress correctly...bundle up, and get out and breathe some quality air!!!

F^%$# that sh!t.....U can have it.....

True enough, it's nearly 30 here. I'm out to run for a while during the warmest part of the day.

FLA. just ain't my cup of tea...weather sucks...(yeah it's warm... but humidity kills me, and no fan of the bugs, and jumping from AC to AC)

lot of other things down there don't sit right with me either :hihi:

wouldn't give ya a nickel for the whole state...

my good buddy Steve K. who travels all winter in his camper, just left me a damn funny voice mail...totally not PC...but he has had it with the "Sunshine" State as well...( almost getting whacked in some crossfire very early this AM on the freeway, down Miami way)...and hopes to be clear of the border late this afternoon....
lucky %$%$%$%$e is motoring his way over to Arizona next, then California...taking the scenic route, I bet knowing him...spends a ton of time undercovers too...:D

I've had more f^%$# surgery's and injuries.....This cold kills me..I'll take the heat any day... I used to not mind the cold..all set with it now I guess..

Raven 01-25-2009 04:43 PM

i was working down in Miami
and even the lawyers there ripped me off :smash:

bass turds ..... their karma will catch up to them in time

i consider miami quite evil -especially at night
as any daytime ethics go down the toilet....

florida is so scenic it makes you high
it bewitches you in a way
casts a spell on you sorta....

i like the beaches and all that
but for me - it's a nice place to visit
and no place i'd want to Live

Raven 01-25-2009 04:49 PM

its so cold

the dog goes lame

from being outside

after 20 minutes
shes a three legged dog

Dude, go to your nearest health food store and buy slippery elm throat lozenges by Thayer.... they are cheap but are worth their weight in gold :point: when it comes to bronchitis...

you can even make a tea with them or just buy the slippery elm powder and make your own but unlike most teas you'd have to strain it thru a regular coffee filter to have red clear liquid
then re-heat it

which kicks the hell out of all that G.D. PHLEM like magic !
Trust me on that

i used to get brochitus every year...but no more

striperman36 01-25-2009 07:03 PM

I'll try it out. I go past Whole Foods on bellingham every day

Raven 01-25-2009 07:09 PM

thats great advice Karl

Spices double the power of your Immune system

slippery elm rolls up all that sticky mucilaginous phlem and sends it out the south tunnel :jester:

But all that coughing goes away s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g on the lozenge
as they are nutritive and healing to the throat... too

i'll take that recipe too please ........:soon:

striperman36 01-25-2009 07:14 PM

One slippery recipe
http://www.learningherbs.com/sore_th...me_remedy.html

Raven 01-25-2009 07:45 PM

if you try and make the red tea from the slippery elm bark powder it becomes so mucilaginous it looks like one of those little clear jellyfish .... so you have to double strain it to get it back to clear.... that tea is so healing....it's amazing.

Nice site there makin your own.... :btu:

striperman36 01-25-2009 08:04 PM

someone could get arrested for making controlled substances like that

Raven 01-25-2009 08:31 PM

OMG you're right

they control bronchitis... so they are a controlled substance...

it's worse than weed...

striperman36 01-25-2009 08:32 PM
