I am assuming that you have tied buck tails or something similar and want to coat the thread that tied them together. I use two part epoxy. Two ton or similar - I use the 5 minute stuff and it gives time to do multiples. :fishin:

Thats a lot of work for something that don't last long where I fish em.When I build a bucktail I will use a few coats of zap a gap.Pink bottle is faster and penetrates best. Then I will coat it with some nail polish type stuff like helly hansens hard as nails.Or Hard as Hull which is a product you can find in fly shops. The glue bonds everything together and makes em real tough the nail polish just seals the whole mess up..

I do them similar to how NIB describes. Zap a gap (pink label) on threads after I get all the bucktail on, continue wrapping thread until complete (this helps the zap sink into the tail). Head cement (any fly tying place will have it) on the threads when I'm done. Or, you can do your nails and coat the threads at the same time like NIB :tooth:

I use a deep penatrating head cement x2 coats... Then 3 coats of Sally Hanson 'tough as nails' clear topcoat. Looks awesome and lasts great!
