Favorite Suds?
 

I didn't want to hijack a previous thread on drinking so I started this one. My favorite fishing beer is Gansett. What's yours? I seem to drink the stuff by the gallons in the summer. :cheers2: Can't get enough of it. I'm a big fan of the Buzz Bay Brew as well. Cape Cod Beer makes awesome brews as well. What about the rest of your guys and gals? What's your favorite? :cheers:

Oh and I can't leave out the Cisco Brew on ACK! I freakin love that place!:drool:

Cisco brew - Moor Porter is the best beer I have had in my life.

Long Trail Ale. Always good. Always consistent.

Best beer I ever had was a place in Pennsylvania......General Lafayette IPA.....unbelievable

Long Trails are good...i like their blackberry wheat...good stuff.

I'm more of a Hop Head than anything so I like IPA's and ESB's mostly.....but occasionally enjoy a Wheat beer.....had a nice Blue Moon Belgian White the other night.

A fishing beer? Anything that's cold, and preferably free :rotf2:

Although a free 'Gansett might still be overpriced :yak6:

A little off track, but the Triple 8 Vodka they produce is excellent. I've never had the beer, though.

I don't usually drink while fishing, but when at home I mostly drink ales during the winter. I've just discovered Smithwick's and have been enjoying it a lot lately. Summertime is more lagers for me.

Triple 8 also makes a rum called "Hurricane", they don't distill it they just blend a couple of carribbean rum and age it but it is AWESOME! My favorite beers are landshark, kalik, corona and amstel. Corona and amstel are the only ones I can get in cans so they usually find their way on the boat. Gansetts have been known to make an appearance if they're really cold with a little lime.

I like the Cape Cod beer too, especially the summer one and who could forget wachusett blueberry?

I agree, no beer when fishing for me.

My Grandfather would drink Gansetts.....warm. Thats how he liked them.

He would open up a 16 oz.can and leave it on the kitchen counter....come by every hour or so and pour a little into a small glass and drink it....come back in an hour for another little glass...take him 4-5 hours to drink a can.

Redlite cocktails do it for me= a nice redbull first, then skoal mint(separately).
I never drink alcohol while fishing.

I would fall asleep on a rock if I drank before fishing.

At home I like Wachusett blueberry, and if I want to drink large amounts, michelob or bud light.

That sounds really good. I dipped for 8 years, been chewing nicorette for 3 yrs. Got sick of waking up with leather skinned cheeks. I am still down for a dip here or there after drinking though.

i never drink when fishing either except if when fishing with friends and we're on a beach.

I bought a Storm Pack years ago. It consisted of tequilla, gin, bourbon, and rum. They don't make the tequilla anymore because of permitting issues but i still have 3/4 of a bottle and have a sip from time to time. The bourbon, rum, and vodka are the best on the market in my opinion.

I don't drink when I fish either......but definitely enjoy a few pops after.

I always throw a couple on the ice in my eel bucket so i can have a couple for after

I spent a whole summer trying to save money while I was working for college $$$ and pretty much drank Narrie draft exclusively - boy, that was ugly.

Almost took the T.P. out of the bathroom and replaced it with a sponge that summer...:hs:

Personally, I like Amstel - but you'll never find me FWI - I don't drink and fish, never have. Don't fish or boat with people who do either - I'd hate to have to depend on somebody who was 'faced if I was in a jam -

However, I do have a nice little fridge full of cold ones in my tackle room for when I get back home...:gu:

I do the gansetts as well, that or amstels when fishing. I will have 1 after about 3 hours. Anymore than that and i will crack my skull. Southern Comfort is the block island drink for some reason.

Another GIQ victim, that's when the drinking age was 21 in Mass before they changed it to 18.
Now I don't care too much, in fact why do you think they call them taste buds anyways. I've moved up from genny.
But I can't and don't, drink and fish. About 9am to put me to sleep is fine.

Coors lite for the summer and Harpoon IPA for the winter. BTW stay far away from the triple8 Gale force gin, its the stuff nightmares are made of.

Once back sitting by the fire I've been known to consume a few Presidente's, Amstel's, or Tsingtao's. Mmmm beer.....
