Montauk Movie Trailer
Anyone see this yet? It's a movie trailer for Montauk Rocks by Rich Siberry. It's a documentary about the shore fishing (surf and fly) at Montauk. He's even got skishing footage with Paul Melnyk . Rich is a heck of a nice guy and actually works with Crazy Al.
http://vimeo.com/3140076 BTW, this is for you, Bigfish :hee:. |
That was awesome! I can't wait to see the finished product! Great sound track too! Love the vid of Melnyck in the water! Thanks Harry!

How come Montauk seas are not boiling with bass when I am there?
I have avoided daytime blitz fishing. Montauk is a place to go. Has good memories for me when I was a kid. i am sure the movie will make me want to go more often. |
Def. got to remember to get this come spring. I am sure there will be alot more talk then this as we get closer to the release dat. S-B.com movie night anyone?!?

if you have not had the pleasure of meeting him, there are not enough words.
Melnyk is one of my favorite people on the planet. a classic "they broke the mold after him" kind of guy. I would buy a DVD of him reading the phone book! Historically outposts like Montauk, Key West and Alaska attract a special breed of person, adventurous spirits - not the condo commandos or rich address status seekers that infest Montauk, the Hamptons and the Keys now. Mundus never cared for Montauk itself, he was there for the fish around it - this is the only subject we disagreed on, there are times you can get skunked at Montauk but if I run into a few locals (names withheld) the expense of getting there is always worth the price of admission. downside- it may bring in more googs to Montauk upside - it will document what is best of a vanishing breed. which is infinitely more important |
