Global warming-did ya notice.........
how all the newspaper articles disappeared as the winter grew longer and colder than it has been for years? Even the few times I saw Gore on television he was talking about something else.
|
I don't think one cold winter shows anything. Not to mention globally, this past summer was significantly above the average temperature.
The reason people can't talk about global warming right now is the general populace (not the intelligent gents in here) are stupid and only think about the now. The average person doesn't remember the reports at the end of the summer discussing how it was globally one of the hottest. They only think, "damn, it's so much colder than last year. Wait, they have ice in Florida. This proves there is no such thing as global warming." |
Today is not a good day to be having this discussion.....It's over 50 outside and its February.

Gore was all over the place recently talking about it. Testifying before congress, specifically about global changes to agriculture with increased climate change. Weather = Local meteorological conditions. I.e. what Tony Petraca reports on Climate (as defined by the IPCC): Climate in a narrow sense is usually defined as the “average weather”, or more rigorously, as the statistical description in terms of the mean and variability of relevant quantities over a period of time ranging from months to thousands or millions of years. The classical period is 30 years, as defined by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). These quantities are most often surface variables such as temperature, precipitation, and wind. Climate in a wider sense is the state, including a statistical description, of the climate system Don't let one cold or warm day fool you. Then again it is just a liberal conspiracy of a bunch of crunchy scientists.. :bs::wave: Additionally, there is way more to it than 'warming'. Better term is climate change |

Just heard this morning that the audobon society said they noticed many more species of birds that normally fly south staying up north.

I think that bird thing they found birds 15 miles N of where the migrated last year , Maybe the people 15 miles south didn't buy the
tasty bird seed they had last year . When I find a Pelican at my back door I'll belive in Global Warming, I even think the antartica ICE is getting thicker even though the the diameter of the circle is smaller It's thicker , I am a beliver in EVOLUTION what happens / HAPPENS I'm even looking for a GREEN Burial sounds good to me . Look up green burial WOW HIJACK THREAD sorry I love birds and feed them all year long even with Carcass parts from legal kill so the Hawk's hav something 2 eat I even can call in a White OWL to my back yard @ 2am on my way to work I do it for my own enjoyment . Link Sr. Global Warming (what) is that do some research find out on your own don't listen to the TV or Radio There is proof that its a joke Listen to your own mind and judge for yor yourself after all when your dead your dead All my closet family thinks that way MY main thing is not to leave any debt to my sons WOW from BIRDS to this sorry I'm really not worried about BIRDS now but:eyes: |
Climate change as a news topic has an inverse relationship to bad economic news. I think that's all it is.

Global warming follows a stair-step function. You have a record year followed by several years of decline, then followed by a new record year.
If you look at the data, we're currently in the cool cycle following record temps a few years ago. -spence |

Global warming is the least of our problems. IMO

Most companies struggle with the balance of short term shareholder demands and strategic growth over the long haul. Typically though, those that don't execute on thoughtful strategic plans will ultimately fail.
