Epoxy
Has anyone experienced the epoxy they are using clouding up. Mine has on some plugs I made towards the end of the summer. All were crystal clear when hardened and stayed clear. I just noticed while looking through my stuff some were now cloudy. Could it be because they are stored in a cool basement?

 could b that the water is getting in an not getting a chance to dry. try laying 1 on a window sill in the sun and see what happens.

that happened to some of my five min stuff i used over the eyes on a few of mine. make sure you dont have any wd40 or other lubricant on the stuff to be epoxyed cause i think maybe thats what happened to them. could it just be the epoxy ageing?

Its called amine blush. Its what happens to low grade epoxy sometimes after full curing

This is only a guess, but did you use wood that has a large sap content such as pine or cedar that was not kiln dried?
It's possible that you have some sap bleeding through. |
Slip is right, i didnt read that thoroughly. Epoxy, even when cured doesnt have the most stable of properties
|
Or when nicked can peel it like a orange

Think adhesion, compatability and flexibility. Durability, water resistance among other qualities. And if you can get UV protection ta boot, you're all set.
