Intenionally misleading
there was so much noise about the mis-information from the Bush administration, that I have to share the following -
King: John McCain and others on the other side of the ledger are saying that he didn't come forward enough to the Republicans, he didn't make them part of this Easter basket. Clinton: Well, I disagree with that. I think the only way he could have gotten a lot of them to vote for him would be to accept their economic theory. Their economic theory is why we're in this mess in the first place. I have seen and heard this about 25 times in the last few weeks, including from Obama himself. This is quite possibly the largest load of $hit ever put out there. It is DELIBERATELY misleading people. If you asked Obama, Clinton or others the details, what would be the answer? Clinton was the one that lead dereglation resulting in the lack of monitoring for the default swaps. Dems led the effort for Fannie and Freddie and offering loans to people that couldnt afford it. I have NO problem saying that Bush and his agencies - the SEC, Greenspan and others should have caught this problem early on. But saying it was republican economic policies or therories is a lie. Flat out lie. I just want the truth out there so people can make up their own minds. The Dems, in my book, are twice as misleading and manipulative that the repubs. This is been a constant mantra from the Dems and ITS WRONG. |
They call them talking points. Say it enough times and stupid people will believe it.
|
Even smart people are believing it, sad.
|
Don't worry, the mainstream media will continue to quote chapter and verse till EVERYONE believes it. It won't matter because those of us who don't believe will be too busy pulling the wagon the believers are riding on.

Pull your head out of the sand and try to be even modestly objective. This stuff is nothing more than Politics 101. |
Gee Jim, I'm surprised you picked up on that. You're absolutely correct: The political goal is to dismantle the ideology of conservatism as a failed approach to government.
If things improve, Obama will use the power of the presidency to make the argument that the republican party was not on board - he'll be standing next to democratic challengers and making this argument next cycle. They are also politicizing the census to redraw districts more favorably for democrats. They're going for the knockout punch. |

Thats why it is so interesting out of all the nominees to O'Bama's cabinet that has/had tax problems that Geitner was approved to serve as treasury secretary. He was in charge at "the fed" of overseeing the money in and out of the mortage market. So while he certainly has experience with the current mortage money and market crisis, his appointment tells me that its just more of the same and they want Geitner to keep finagleling the bagel the same way he has been. And it smacks of a huge coverup.

Obama ran on the premise of "changing Washington". How the hell is LYING to people a "minute facet"??????? it was the cornerstone of his campaign! |
