Springtime vacation days - Canal

I plan to take a week off this spring to really try and put some time in at the canal. Its a spot I have been trying t learn the past few years and want to improve on my knowledge/ability there. I have found with other spots that I am more comfortable with, fishing for days in a row really allows you to learn the place more effectively and get in better tune with the fish. That said what week would you suggest?
