I didn't see any color options! (pink??) LOL!
But if it really works...it would be worth it. My 6 year old dropped my cell into an ice fishing hole the other day at FABBIT 1.1, luckily it was not a drilled through hole, it was the one the fish were kept in. It would have been a good time to have that phone. $499 is not that bad of a price, I mean my phone outright would have been $350 and its been busted 3X now.

Raven 02-20-2009 08:55 PM

the other color was yellow and they
we good to a depth of ten feet

Tagger 02-20-2009 10:09 PM

If you have verizon, Try the casio gzone. It doesnt have the most options, but its waterproof and doesnt cost $500. On others positive reviews i got one this past summer . I took it with me in my dry top, tossed it in dish sinks, into friends beers , and some underwater photos and It still works like new.

On my 4th one due to water damage..... I've decided that there is no such thing as a waterproof phone. It ihas been good for small spashes, but one died just sitting in a wet pocket.

First one died after a week, just a light splash, i chock it up to defective from the factory.
2nd made a few months, dies in a beer at the bar....... oops.
3rd also made it a few months, submerged a few times for short periods, eventually dies when I was walking the dog in a rainstorm for a little over an hour. should have put it in my waterproof coat pocket, but it was in by jeans.
I don't plan on getting the 4th one wet.
Don't get me wrong, its an OK water resistant phone, but you still need to take care of it. I think I just expected too much from the phone. Still much sturdier than most phones on the market.

I bought one of those G zone phones. Before I activated it, I read the warranty. If you get it wet, you're on your own. In their ads people pull it out of an aquarium and use it. If you do that you are out the 179 plus the 499 replacement charge. I sent it back to them. No thanks

Sound quality was decent, no complains there.

I had mine replaced once, for software issues. After usnig it for almost a year i hate the damn thing. There are times when I just flip it closed after a conversation and it gets stuck on the last call. I have to remove the battery to reset it. Some time I go to edit a phone number in the thing, and even though I can see it on the phone as the right one it edits the wrong entry. Another thing is if I put it in my pocket the ringers always shut themselves off. I won't buy another one. :gorez:
