I lost count....How much are we up to.
Didn't I just hear Obama last night say no ear marks... How much more can we spend?

They probably learned from watching the Bush Administration and GOP controlled Congress.
Bush increased Government spending more than any President in the past 30 years. Twice as fast as his father and even much, much faster than Clinton in his second term when the Clinton Administration was on a bender. I'm almost thinking this could be a deke considering the words from the Obama spokesperson. It would be brilliant to have the House pass a huge bill just so P Obama could use the Veto :hihi: -spence |

Whoa, a trillion with interest on spending/bailout,
$410 billion on domestic billl and $640 billion down payment on health care bill. Thats 2 trillion right there and that's just the beginning. Might as well be counterfeit as that amount of printed money won't be worth the paper it's printed on. |
This is really getting crazy. I'm at a loss as to what they are doing. Obama's budget has not even been brought into the mix yet.
I really had hoped to be wrong about what would happen if the left had unlimited power. This is happening way to quick and is much worse then I predicted. Is there any of the Obama defenders on here that can explain the upside to what is going on here. ( just to make it challenging for you, you cant's mention Bush ) Any regrets yet? |
job creation :wavey:

Bush increased the size of the Federal Government more than any other Administration since I've been alive. Obama appears to be continuing this trend. Granted, the recession will greatly exacerbate spending over the next few years. While there were some against Bush's spending, a good number of Republicans who are claiming to magically have become fiscally responsible in the past two months were eager cheerleaders for Bush's spending bender which they did their best to hide from the American people. The out of control spending looks to by a bi-partisan issue. At least Obama is willing to state the true cost. -spence |

2010 budget plan---3.55 Trillion
Aside from the proposed tax increases on wage earners over $208,000 and adding fines to companies that pollute, how could this possibly be paid for. We are worried about our Grandchildren and polution but not about having them on the bread line for what we are spending now. Meantime, companies that are polluting will have to lay off or not hire to pay for fines and reconstruct to Govt. specs. :( Stimulus spending???????????? Government gone wild. |
