Any one have any of the boots with the interchangeable sole? If so how do you like them, would you recommend them?

Do a search on this site and you'll find more information than you could ever hope for about Korkers. Just click the search button at the top of the page. I think you'll find that they are pretty popular among the rock-hoppers here.

Thanks for posting the "search" feature. I wish John would put up a "sticky" about seaching for subjects. After 6 years as a member here, I can say with certainty that everything about common stuff like korkers, waders, reels, line, hooks, dry tops, surf bags, etc. has been asked and debated 1000 times. It serves no useful purpose to rehash the same crap when the answers are already in the archives.

jdr365 is looking for info on the Korkers wading boots rather than on the sandals that have been talked about a million times here.

I have two different korkers wading boot models with the interchangeable soles and I like them. I only wear them in rocky areas. They have held up well and are comfortable but I did have the studded felt sole pop out once which was not cool. They do not provide the same level of traction that the korkers sandals do.

I have two of the old models, the Wetlands and the Outfitter. The Outfitter is leather with a 3 yr warranty and the Wetlands is vinyl with a 1 yr warranty. I bought them for cheap on SierraTradingPost. Supposedly the new models on the Korkers website are better in the way that the inserts are designed because the tougue that slips into the front of the boot is longer. Are you using these with waders or with a wetsuit? That might make a difference in which ones you get. Also, they run small. I had to get a 12 and I am an 11 in bootfoot waders but I also like to wear heavy socks. Hope this helps.
