Underneath the flashy licks, volume swells and incredible string bending technique I've always felt that there was a feel of desperation that came across in his playing that makes it unique and "hauntingly" beautiful.

Roy did my favorite recording of Green Onions. Have to see if he is on emusic, my latest hobbie.
