where do you live? I have german sheperd proof wooden

Are you looking for the kind that screw into the wall/doorway or the kind that is fits in by adjusting it to fit tightly between the walls? I may have one for you.

I'm looking for boxer puppy proof and baby proof. I would like to avoid screwing into the wall but if that's all that will do the job I'll consider it.

Wallyworld has them for $22 - made out of a HD pvc type material like a milk crate. Pretty sturdy, our dogs are 65 and 85 lbs.

We've had 3 different types - all wood - for our dogs, this one is the best by far, just bought it - nothing to warp or rust, very secure when the lever is locked and has hardware included for mounting if you want to go that route - has the rubbber bunpers on the side and fits tight in any door jamb if you don't - 26" H, expands to 40" W

Should be in the baby car seat etc dept. at your local WM - and the price is right

Luds, I have a good one that we used for my son for 2 years. It's in great shape because it wasn't in a room we used much. It expands to fit between the doorway so there's no holes to be drilled and it has a foot pedal to open it. I can post a pic tinight if you're interested.

This is the one.

I'm going to pass for now but will definitely let you know if/when that changes. It probably will.

NP,
I saw 90 lbs of furry fury almost take out a section of my 6' stockade fence this morning trying to get a squirrel.

Not mine but my sister in law has a 5 month old that we are going to help with day care for. She will also be helping with puppy care so the dog won't be left alone. Works out nice. :kewl:

Great dogs, I have to say. I don't have them anymore, but when we got our boxer about a year and a half ago all we used were the gates that expand in the doorway. Keep on top of it in training so it learns where it allowed to go and you won't need them very long. After a year the gates were a no-brainer anyway, because ours would just sit and then effortlessly hurdle it and walk over proudly and expect a reward for what he did.

Free one for you if interested

I have a free one for you. Pretty sturdy (Held back four kids). It is heavy plactic that is very strong when pressure is on. I was cleaning out the shed and saw it and I told my wife to hold on to it because I thought someone on S-B was looking for one. I live nearby. Let me know if interested. Nice to hear you helping your sister-in-law out.
