i,m going to the kenai pen in july n aug ...does anyone know what kind of flys are used at that time of yr. 6 fly pattens should work. thanks...dave

July the Kings should be running and in august, the silvers start coming in. I was up there back in 2005 and caught 3 in the one weekend the ship was there on the Anchor river, near Homer. I didn't use flies and didn't see a lot of fly fisherman, almost everyone was using a dime size soft clear plastic blob that is filled with salmon eggs using a small treble hook. Didn't get a bite on that, so I started using a #3 Mepps Black Furry spinner.
