Yup, shortly after I posted that and did the quick arithmetic - with the exception of milk, everything is proportianate in terms of pricing to income -
Just multiple everything by 10 and see what it looks like compared to the wages and cost of living in 2009 - not much has changed by percentage of income at all, really And as for the war(s) now and then, in '68 at least we stood up on our hind legs and did something about it - as opposed to '01 thru '09, when damned few had the balls to say a frigging thing......:doh:... |
