Just for S&G, I nuked Otis and found out that not only wouldn't I be vaporized instantly, I wouldn't even suffer second degree burns, with a 450 kt explosion.

This doesn't tell you anything about the blast, though, and whether you'd get impaled on an uprooted tree or have a car slammed against you :eek:

I also think this assumes a ground level burst. An air burst at 2500' might show you a whole 'nother picture :gorez:

I think it is for an air burst. At least, the bombs dropped on Japan show what I think is a comparable radius to what actually happened and those were exploded in the atmosphere.

It looks to be limited to direct thermal damage, and seems pretty conservative.

Although I'd rather be vaporized than die a slow death via radiation.
