Oil Company
So I wake up Sunday and it's a little cold in the house, go to the bathroom, no hot water. Go downstairs and my tank is bone dry. wtf? Call the oil company. C.K.Smith btw. And they tell me I'm shut off because I owe them 271.00 and change for the last fill up. I said no I owe you that for a service call in January that you finally sent the bill last week. They sent a tech with 10 gallons of oil. Said they'd send a truck today. They didn't but they still want their friggin' 271.00 and change. OK it's been mailed. A tech came out with another 10 gallons. So help me if they don't fill the tank tomorrow...
After 32 years being their paying customer, wouldn't you think that the sobs would at least call before the let me run dry? I have never ,ever stiffed these jerks and pay more than other companies for service. CKSmith bought out another Company and that's where the poop hits the fan. They're about to be fired. If I run dry again they're about to be sued.. |
they forgot rule number one
|
And thanks to them letting you run dry, any sludge that may have been in the bottom of the tank will find it's way into the fuel pump/injector. That may end up requiring ANOTHER service call to clean it out.
Aren't they sweethearts? |
There's no such thing as Quality Service any more.

Your a number not a customer
|
Bummer Fred. :( Like JD said and customer loyalty doesn't count either.

There are alot of other companies out there Fred that would appreciate your business!:uhuh:

Fred - lousey service for sure. Next heating season contact and join Mass Energy. It will cost you ten bucks, but the cost of fuel is way less than any other delivery company. I switched and am very happy with the new company and the cost of fuel. The service policy was in line with others and the tech was excellent.
if you need the number PM me and I will forward it to you. |
Fred, I've been doing some work with a local RI Oil Company, put in a new server, desktops, software, etc. They decided to come in from the stone age (OK, the 90's) to present as far as 'puting goes.
I have to say these are good folks, honest and sincere, and genuinely work with their customers and know most by name. Wish they were closer I'd drop you a note for them. |
Fred..Dump them
|
I would guess that the nozzle will be plugged soon,it won't be used much from here on out, unless if you have a tankless system.Unknowingly running sludge through your burnner will wreak havoc on that nozzle!

Say bye bye |
in this case
you the customer was always wrong...... NOT !!

This company want to make sure I fire them. They sent me a bill for the first 10 gal. and then the company that they bought out sent me one, too. Clowns...
|
Screw me over once, shame on you.
Screw me over twice, shame on me. Definitely a sign that it's time to dump them. |
Screw them.
I've had an oil and maintence contract for about 10 years w/the same company. This year my wife accidently shuts off the furnace, they come out for 5 min. and hit the switch. I get a bill for $100. I send a nice letter explaining what happened, how long the guy was there, explain that I have a contract and that it does not allow them to charge me for the call b/c its not mentioned in the contract. No response to the letter and the charge is still on the bill. After they clean the furnace next month, I'm getting a new oil company. |

I hate to say it but that's a tough call for your oil co.to not to bill you,yes you had no heat due to the mishap but the bottom line remanes the same, you have no heat. So you contact your Oil Co. tell them that your furance isn't working so they send out a Tech to find the problem, he trouble shoots for a few mins and figures out it's just a simple flip of the emergancy switch it may have took him only a few min but he got you back on line, that is billable. Even though it was a quick fix for him but it was still hard enough to stump you Guys. I don't know how far he/she had to travel, but it's time on the road & most service co.s charge for travle time and at least a half hrs labor no matter how simple the problem was. Some Co.s will try to work with you and trouble shoot over the phone,I know,I do.I try to help you out as much as I can so I don't have to go,belive me I have some good ones:jester: 5/0 |
