I am a cynical bastard, but Im the only one that thinks thats 100% staged? look at the positioing of the cameras on the judges, backstage, crowd, etc. Im not doubting her ability, but believe it was a set up. Get someone fugly and old and have them blow the crowd away. I think its a stunt.

I wouldn't be suprised if you're right. That shows been on in GB longer than in the US. I'd bet it's starting to get stale and they needed some big publicity stunt to make it relevant again.

Still a good voice on the lady, though. I bet she starts getting guys wanting to knock her boots now that she's famous.

I got to it. I was very impressed and think it's legit. It's the most watched video ever on utube.

She's so good if she wasn't a legit newcomer she'd be well known already. I think it was just a "happening" and we're all lucky to have the internet to see it.

I have this feeling that Susan Boyle has the gift :huh:
(take that from my experience )

it's an ancient practice Long forgotten from

Are you kidding me?! I just gave that a listen and she dosn't have a blemish in her voice whatsoever. I can't believe that in 99' someone didn't sign her. She's going to be a millionaire soon. This is a really cool story.
