Fishing Shirts.....

It seems every angler on every TV show is wearing what looks like a bowling shirt, covered with every imaginable sponsor. Think they wear them when there's not a camera onboard????

And then there are the wannabe road cyclists who get all decked out in their adorned shirts and shorts.... and they have to pay for them...

Should have put this grumpy old pharts....

Slingah 04-26-2009 08:52 AM

ya..it's like nascar fishing apparel :yak6:...lame

Clammer 04-26-2009 09:00 AM

nightfighter 04-26-2009 09:21 AM

The comfortable guide shirts and pants - very comfortable and practical. Comfortable as an old cotton shirt full of holes (the best kind). Nascar Fishing Shirt - I dunno. Like putting a bunch of stickerz on your Japanese Tuner Cars

That looks like it should be worn by someone in lycra shorts competing in the Tour de France...

eelskimmer 04-26-2009 10:55 AM

That is the kindest thing you could say about
someone wearing that shirt. Wait till Spence
signs on......

Rappin Mikey 04-26-2009 04:43 PM

A great t-shirts idea. "I still fish with Habs!"

RIROCKHOUND 04-26-2009 06:41 PM

WTF.
if someone pays me to wear a shirt with brands on it while I fish, sign me up...
#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& on the chest, habs on the sleeve, aquaskinz on the collar... Gibbs on the back, rebel on the shoulder, redfin on the other shoulder...

and I'd be throwing an eel...

Professional Saltwater fishing is basically a joke. The FW scene is huge in comparison and they sell a lot more FW "stuff" than saltwater "stuff".
Some of those FW sponsors have a very nice pay package...yeah the boat/truck and clothing is plastered with ad's but if I would fish in a thong:shocked: if they wanted me to and paid me that kind of coin to go fishing.:jester:

yeah it's pretty crazy, and not to hijack the thread, but most fishing shows are just one big advertisement anyway. anybody catch the lastest OTW this weekend? I enjoyed the show, but they are getting more like the big boys with those gratuitious shots of the evinrude and the toyota truck and the triumph boat!
hey, I remember the names, so it's working!!

I think in the days of the DVR and fast forwarding through ads, the companies have to get them in somewhere.

seadogg 04-27-2009 12:46 PM

bowling shirts look ridicullous. i like wetsuits.

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Who watches commercials anymore?

LL Bean or Columbia SPF 50 tropical weigh shirts with armourall undershirts as needed.
